Hunterdon has 26 school districts and 26 municipalities, and they do not line up. 3 regional districts run the high schools for towns that also fund their own K-8 district, so a family in Alexandria Township is inside two districts at once, each with its own budget and its own per-pupil cost.

  • Delaware Valley Regional (9-12) takes students from 5 municipalities: Alexandria Township, Frenchtown Borough, Holland Township, Kingwood Township, Milford Borough.
  • Hunterdon Central Regional (9-12) takes students from 5 municipalities: Delaware Township, East Amwell Township, Flemington Borough, Raritan Township, Readington Township.
  • North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional (9-12) takes students from 12 municipalities: Bethlehem Township, Califon Borough, Clinton Town, Clinton Township, Franklin Township, Glen Gardner Borough, Hampton Borough, High Bridge Borough, Lebanon Borough, Lebanon Township, Tewksbury Township, Union Township.
  • South Hunterdon Regional (PK-12) is the whole school system for 3 municipalities, elementary through high school: Lambertville City, Stockton Borough, West Amwell Township.
  • Hunterdon County Vocational (9-12) enrolls students from every municipality in the county, most of them part time while they remain enrolled in their home high school.
